Well we finally took a small vacation - alone. Hailey went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in
Wenatchee while we went to Portland for a five days. If you want a great place to get away to that is really
affordable and just wonderful you have to check out the
Edgefield in
Troutdale, just outside of Portland. It is one the
McMenamin Brother's establishments. Check them out here:

couple hikes to some really great waterfalls in the area. The one below is
Maltnohma Falls, but we also went to
Horsetail Falls and Triple Falls nearby.
We now have to stop at
rest stops and let Hailey run around, even though the drive to
Wenatchee is only 2.5 hours! Wish us luck for our next trip this weekend to Seattle! I'm sure we will stop at many
rest stops. We stopped at one and Hailey had to pet a doggy who also needed to get out and run around. I think the owner of the dog found humor in our similar
circumstances when we put Hailey back in her car seat and she had a melt down.
