Riverfront Park

Saturday was a scorcher so we headed down to the park to see the river and play in the water. The Spokane River was gorgeous and really flowing this weekend. We stood on the suspension bridge and felt the mist and a few splashes from the cool water on a 90 degree day - wasn't it just 40 last week? Crazy weather!

We headed over to the fountain for some real cooling off. I wasnt prepared with swim clothes so they just went for it! You will see in the progressive photos that Hailey slowly shed all her clothes. Also she really put her new Keen sandles to the test - and they did great - she didn't fall once!

Hailey loves to watch all the other kids. lately she has been putting her little hands behind her back and it so cute!

We had to stop for a drink, then it was back at it!

This is the new way we ride in the Bob, standing and pointing in the direction we should take her. She just needs a whip and a small dog to pull her!

Hi! i'm back!

I got a new wagon for my first birthday, and I'm having so much fun with it. We take trips around the block and to the park. It's great because it hold so much...like water and wipes, and binkys, and a blanket, and rocks..... what ever I put in it. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Auntie Emily got me great bath toys that I love playing with! Dad loved to give me a bath and I get a great hair do! I think that dad has found his true calling as a beautician!

Here I am in my special shirt all the way from Austria! Mom's friend Christa in Europe bought me the cutest ladybug shirt and sweater to wear! I just love it!
Here I am at the park and going down the slide. Dad went me first then I did it on my own. I had so much fun with the wind in my hair and playin gin the sand...I even ate a handful or two!

The one on the top is from the other day and the one to the right is from July...do you think that I have grown a little bit? Dad tries to hold me the same way, but he says I am a little bit heavy! How rude!

Just some shots of me being cute...you know everyday occurances!

Mom thought I was being cute so she had dad take my picture. I didnt care to be woken by the light of a flash bulb. Hopefully they learned their lesson!

More of me being cute....what can I say!

Here I am with mom and he best friend Emily! Auntie Em is so great, she spent the whole morning with us. We had a great breakfast at Frank's Diner, and then went to the mall and mom's office. By the time we took her to the airport I had such a long morning that I fell asleep. Mom said she had such a great time and loved talking to Emily all morning and wished she could do it more often!

I'm going to be a model...

Does this really need any comments. I mean really - what a pose!

Almost One Year

Hailey still loves her 4 wheeler and can almost get on it all by herself, although getting off isn't so easy. She can rock it backwards but hasn't quite been able to move forward. She also has this habit of carrying her socks in her mouth, resourceful I guess, but definitely gross.

She is definitely exploring the "boundaries" and has this little smirky look. We're on to you Hailey!

And can we start to see a little 'tude in this shot! If we aren't getting what we want we now throw fits. last night was a full on throw yourself face first on the ground and cry till you cant breathe. All because we didn't share our ravioli. Oh boy!

I'm coming to get you!

Guess who is walking now? Yep, it's Hailey! On Wednesday when I went to pick her up from Day Care they told me that hailey had something important to show me.....look whos walking! She took about 5 steps and had way more confidance than before. Today she was even better and I'm sure by her birthday she will be running around the house!

Bam bam

Hailey has enough hair for pig tails, but not enough patients for me to put them in. So this is what we get - one pig tail on the top! Ryan and I are amazed every day at how old she is looking and changing into a little girl and less of a baby. She keeps us very busy and has discovered cabinets - and that they open! She will look at us as she crawls supper fast towards the kitchen, then pulls herself up and opens the cabinet. She will disappear for a minute than appear with a mischevious smile and pull out a muffin pan or a warming rack.

Our little munchkin! Cant imagine life without her!
